Gowin MCU Designer is an Eclipse-based development environment similar to Keil MDK. It is a system for developing and debugging applications based on software and hardware processor IP cores for FPGAs and SoCs from Gowin Semiconductor Corporation. It has an English-language interface and supports writing source codes for programs in C/C++.

Debugging of firmware code is carried out using third-party hardware debuggers connected to the target FPGA/SoC via the JTAG interface.
