KUT page

The KUT page is designed for working on short-cycle material, such as commercials or news releases. Here you can find a whole range of innovative tools for significantly optimizing installation. With their help, you can import and adjust, add transitions and text, automatically align color and mix the audio track. This functionality ensures quick preparation of content for display on television and services such as YouTube. In addition, if necessary, you can always switch to the familiar tools of the Edit section, even in the middle of the current project.

New and Improved ResolveFX Plugins

DaVinci Resolve 18 Studio greatly improves existing ResolveFX plugins and adds new ones. They allow you to use vignetting and shadows, analog noise, distortion and color aberration, remove objects and perform material stylization. Additionally, a number of other tools have been optimized, including TV line simulation, facial smoothing, background fill, shape reshaping, dead pixel removal, and color space transformation. Additionally, keyframes for ResolveFX effects can be viewed and edited using curves in the Edit and Color pages.

Blackmagic RAW

Blackmagic RAW is a new, state-of-the-art codec that delivers exceptional image quality and superior speed performance. Thanks to an improved debayering algorithm and a fundamentally different processing method, it retains all the advantages of RAW, but at the same time is easier to handle and faster to use, and the files created with it do not exceed the size of regular video.

Blackmagic RAW moves some of the debayering out of the software application and onto the camera itself, where the process is performed in hardware. Due to this redistribution of resources, compression becomes much more efficient, and video requires less space on the storage device. Blackmagic RAW is not just another format with a RAW extension, but a new hybrid codec that takes into account the characteristics of the camera sensor. The resulting image, even at high compression ratios, has excellent performance, giving full control over a range of RAW parameters, including ISO, white balance, exposure, contrast, saturation and custom color space. Additionally, Blackmagic RAW offers comprehensive support for metadata and .sidecar files with customizable options, optimized CPU and GPU accelerated processing, the latest color technology, and constant quality or bitrate encoding options.
