Luminar Neo is an innovative photo editor from Skylum based on artificial intelligence.

The new Luminar Neo editor uses an improved AI engine, which should improve the processing quality and increase the performance of the new software.

Luminar Neo is a standalone editor that includes many of the features of the Luminar AI editor. It also contains completely new tools. Thus, more advanced tools have appeared for adjusting image lighting parameters. The software analyzes each image, the AI ��will analyze and recognize depth and identify the object in the scene, which Skylum says gives the user precise control over exposure and tone.

In addition, the new Luminar Neo editor can automatically recognize and remove various artifacts caused by contamination of the camera sensor or lens. And now you can automatically remove other unwanted objects in the frame, for example, wires from electric poles in the city.

Another new tool is the background replacement feature. This tool works similar to the existing Sky Replacement function. Skylum claims that with this tool, the photographer will have complete control over the background for portrait photos. This tool will help you quickly replace your background with a completely new one from your chosen images. The new feature adds more tools for editing portraits, combining the Portrait AI, Skin AI, and Bokeh AI tools into one new tool.
